Who We Are
三峡大学简介
China Three Gorges University (CTGU) is located in Yichang city, Hubei province, China. Having been approved by the Ministry of Education of China , CTGU comprises the former Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering / Yichang and the former Hubei Sanxia College. The history of CTGU can be traced back to 1923. The undergraduate education started from 1978, the postgraduate education and international education started from 1996. CTGU has the qualification to confer the doctor's degree, to accept international students under Chinese government scholarship from China Scholarship Council(CSC), and to accept international students into undergraduate English medium program of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.), and to accept Chinese students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other countries in the world.
CTGU, adhering to the principle of promoting development through opening up, organizes wide range of international cooperation and communication. It is the member of United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Standing Secretariat of Global University Network (N.E.W.S.). CTGU has established cooperative relationships with more than 170 universities from more than 60 countries. CTGU, with 1400 international students currently, is a major destination in Hubei Province for international students and provides the largest scale of English medium education activities.
三峡大学坐落于湖北省域副中心城市、水电之都宜昌，是经国家教育部批准，由原武汉水利电力大学(宜昌)和原湖北三峡学院于2000年6月29日合并组建而成。学校办学历史最早可以追溯至1923年，1978年开始举办本科教育，1996年开始举办硕士研究生教育和来华 留学教育。学校具有博士学位授予权，具有招收中国政府奖学金生(CSC)、本科临床医学专业（英语授课）来华留学生资格以及招收香港、澳门、台湾地区学生资格。
学校长期坚持开放办学方针，广泛开展国际交流与合作。学校是“联合国学术影响力” (UNAI) 组织成员，“世界高校联盟” (N.E.W.S.) 组织常设秘书处单位，目前已与60多个国家和地区的170余所高校建立了长期稳定的合作关系，学校是湖北省省属高校中招收留学生人数和英语授课规模最大的高校，现有在校来华留学生1400余人。

水利与环境学院简介
The college of Hydraulic & Environmental Engineering(CHEE) was founded in 1978 as the Department of Water Resources Engineering Architecture in Gezhouba Hydropower Engineering College. It has gone through the changes of the Department of Water Construction, the Department of Architectural Engineering, the Department of Architectural Engineering of Wuhan University of Water Resources and Electric Power (Yichang), the College of Civil Engineering, and the College of Civil and Hydropower of China Three Gorges University(CTGU). In January 2010, CTGU was restructured by merging four disciplines: Hydraulic Engineering and Mechanics from the former College of Civil and Hydropower, Management Science and Engineering from the former College of Economics and Management, and Environmental Science and Engineering from the former College of Chemistry and Life Science. Gradually form the school motto of "Virtuous, studious, realistic and innovative".
There are 155 full-time teachers, including 36 professors, 65 associate professors 53 lecturers, 13 post-doctoral and 12 experimenters. Also the college has 112 PhD students, 682 masters, 61 doctoral supervisors and 118 master supervisors.
水利与环境学院始于1978年的原葛洲坝水电工程学院水利水电工程建筑系，历经水建系、建筑工程系、武汉水利电力大学（宜昌）建筑工程系、土木学院、三峡大学土木水电学院变迁。2010年1月，三峡大学院系调整，由原土木水电学院水利工程和力学、原经济与管理学院管理科学与工程、原化学与生命科学学院环境科学与工程等四大学科合并组建而成。逐步形成“厚德、笃学、求实、创新”院训。
学院拥有专任教师155人，其中教授36人，副教授65人，讲师53人，实验研究人员12人；学院目前有博士研究生112人，硕士研究生682人；有61位博导和118位硕导。

I. Chinese Government Scholarship
一．中国政府奖学金
China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC), entrusted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as MOE), is responsible for the enrollment and the administration of Chinese Government Scholarship programs. China Three Gorges University is one of the authorized universities to accept the CSC full scholarship students. We welcome all the international students to participate in these programs.
国家留学基金管理委员会（简称CSC）受中华人民共和国教育部（简称MOE）委托，负责中国政府奖学金项目的招生和管理工作。三峡大学作为授权招收CSC全额奖学金学生的高校之一，欢迎所有国际学生来申请这些项目。
II. Hubei Provincial Scholarship Programs
二．湖北省外国留学生奖学金
In order to encourage more international students to study in Hubei Province, Hubei Provincial Government has established the Hubei Provincial Scholarship for International Students and relevant regulations of management.
A. Generally the Hubei Provincial Scholarships are provided for paying tuition fee ONLY. Scholarships standards are as below.
a. Bachelor’s Undergraduate Scholarship is 10,000 RMB/Year;
b. Master’s Graduate Scholarship is 15,000 RMB/Year;
c. Doctorate Student Scholarship is 20,000 RMB/Year.
d. General Visiting Student Scholarship is 5,000 RMB/ One Semester and 10,000 RMB/One Academic Year.
为鼓励外国留学生到湖北省属高等学校学习和进修，扩大湖北省教育的对外影响，湖北省人民政府特设立湖北省国际学生奖学金并制定了《湖北省外国留学生奖学金管理办法》。
1. 奖学金原则上只用于抵扣学费。奖学金抵扣标准如下：
(1)本科生奖学金1万元/年
(2)硕士研究生奖学金1.5万元/年
(3)博士研究生奖学金2万元/年
(4)普通进修生奖学金5000元/学期或10000元/学年
B. In our college we have Four Years’ conditional tuition scholarship for Bachelors. In the first year tuition is free, from the second year onwards, students can apply for full tuition or half tuition scholarship in accordance with the measures for scholarship Assessment.
2. 水利与环境学院的新生留学生本科生，可四年有条件享有学费奖学金，从第二年开始，按照奖学金评比办法可继续申请全额或半额学费奖学金。
Application Eligibility
申请条件
A. Be a citizen of a country other than the PRC, friendly to China and in good health both mentally and physically; Note: For those Chinese people who immigrated to other countries as foreign students to apply for studying in China, the applicants should hold the valid foreign passport or nationality certificate more than 4 years. In the latest 4 years(up to April 30 of the enrollment year), the applicants lived in a foreign country more than 2 years(the actual living abroad for more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit stamps);
B. Be an academically excellent holder of a Higher Secondary Certificate or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 25 when applying for a Bachelor's program;
C. Be an academically excellent holder of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 30 when applying for a Master’s program;
D. Be an academically excellent holder of a Master's degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 35 when applying for a doctoral program;
E. Be an academically excellent holder of a Higher Secondary Certificate or above between the age of 18 and 40 when applying for general visiting program;
F. Have passed HSK(Level 4)when applying for a Chinese-taught program (General Visiting Program is excluded)and their Chinese proficiency should be at the level of the International Chinese Language Proficiency Standard (Level 5)upon graduation(those who have obtained a degree from a Chinese university using Chinese as the teaching language are not required to provide HSK certificates;
G. Provide an IELTS certificate with 6.0 or above or other equivalent language proficiency certificate when applying for an English-taught program. Applicants who are from English speaking countries or received education more than 3 years in English can exempt from providing the relevant English language proficiency certificates. Their Chinese proficiency should be at the level of the International Chinese Language Proficiency Standard (Level 3)upon graduation;
H. Provide the Certificate for the Experience of Studying in China from previous school or university if he/she who has studied in China.Sample of the Certificate can be downloaded from http://eng.ctgu.edu.cn/DOWNLOADS.htm
1.非中国籍公民，对华友好，身心健康；
注：对移民外国后作为外国留学生来华学习者，申请人应持有效的外国护照或国籍证明文件4年(含)以上，且最近4年(截至入学年度的4月30日前)之内有在外国实际居住2年以上的记录(一年中实际在国外居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准)；
2.申请攻读学士学位者，应当具有高中或同等学历，学习成绩优秀，年龄一 般为18-25周岁；
3.申请攻读硕士学位者，应当具有相关专业学士学位或同等学历，学习成绩 优秀，年龄一般为18-30周岁；
4.申请攻读博士学位者，应当具有相关专业硕士学位或同等学历，学习成绩 优秀，年龄一般为18-35周岁；
5.申请普通进修生项目，应当具有相当于高中及以上学历，学习成绩优秀，年龄一般为18-40周岁；
6.申请中文授课项目要求达到《汉语水平考试》四级(HSK4)(普通进修 生项目除外),毕业时中文能力应达到《国际汉语能力标准》五级水平(曾使用中文为教学语言获得中国高校学位的，无须提供《汉语水平考试》(HSK)证明)；
7.申请英文授课项目的非英语国家申请者要求提供雅思成绩6.0分及以上或等同于此水平的相关证明，申请人来自英语国家或接受过3年及以上英文教学课程可 免提供英语水平证明。毕业时中文能力应当至少达到《国际汉语能力标准》三级水平。英语国家可参考链接：http://eng.ctgu.edu.cn/info/1032/1465.htm

Application Documents
申请材料
A. CTGU or CSC or ICLTS Application Form for International Students (filled in online);
B. A scanned copy of the Passport Information Page;
C. Diploma and certificate of highest education(both original & notarized photocopy). An applicant who is a current university student shall submit the certificate of expected graduation or student status issued by his/her university;
D. Academic transcripts of the final degree. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English;
E. Certificate of language proficiency. When applying for a Chinese-taught program, an applicant shall provide a valid HSK score report that meets the program's language ability requirements. When applying for a program taught in a language other than Chinese, an applicant shall provide a certificate of proficiency in the language as required by the designated university, such as the IELTS or TOEFL test report;
F. A study or research plan written in Chinese or in English (no less than 1000 words/characters for postgraduates)when applying for the postgraduate programs;
G. Recommendation letters. Two recommendation letters in Chinese or in English from professors or associate professors when applying for the postgraduate programs;
H. Personal academic achievements if there is/are(list of graduation thesis, published papers, major research projects participated,etc.);
I. Awarded certificates if there is/are;
J. A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original document, printed by Chinese quarantine authorities, shall be filled in English and kept by the applicant). The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid. Medical examination results are valid for only six months;
K. An applicant shall submit a valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (or Police Clearance Certificate)issued by the local public security(such as the police station),usually issued within six months prior to the submission date of the application;
Attention: The online application for CTGU platform requires JPG or JPEG or PNG uploads of all the documents within 1 M.
1.《三峡大学外国留学生入学申请表》《三峡大学中国政府奖学金申请表》《三峡大学国际中文教师奖学金申请表》(在线填写)；
2.有效的护照信息页扫描件；
3.最高学历证明原件及公证件。如申请人为在校学生，须提交本人就读学校出具的预计毕业证明或在学证明；
4.最高学历学习成绩单。中英文以外文本须附经公证的中文或英文的译文；
5.语言能力证明。申请以中文为教学语言专业的申请人须提供有效期内且与相应中文水平要求相符的HSK成绩报告。申请以外语为教学语言专业的申请人应根据学校要求提供相应的语言能力证明，如雅思或托福成绩单；
6.来华学习或研究计划(申请研究生专业提供),不少于1000字，用中文或英文书写；
7.推荐信(申请研究生专业提供)。须提交两名教授或副教授的推荐信，用中文或英文书写；
8.个人学术成果(毕业论文、公开发表的论文、参与的重大科研项目等列表)；
9.个人获奖证明(如有)；
10.《外国人体格检查表》复印件(原件自行保存，此表格由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制，须英文填写)。申请人应严格按照《外国人体格检查表》中要求的项目进行检查。缺项、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查表》无效，检查结果有效期为6个月；
11.无犯罪记录证明。申请人须提交由所在地公安机关出具的有效期内的无犯罪记录证明，通常应为提交申请之日前6个月以内的证明文件。
注意：提交至三峡大学国际学生在线服务系统的材料需在1M大小以内且为JPG、JPEG或 PNG 格式。
Fees
费用标准
A. Tuition fees:
Undergraduate: 15,000 RMB/Year
Master: 15,000 RMB/Year
PhD: 20,000 RMB/Year
B. Accommodation fee: 4800 RMB/year/bed for a room with two beds. (Personal expenses such as water, electricity, internet and damage compensation are excluded). Note: From the 1st to the 15th of any month upon arrival, the payment for living accommodations is due in full for the month. From the 16th to the end of the month, payment is one half for the first month. The living accommodations are paid on a yearly basis;
C. Insurance fee: 800 RMB/600RMB/year/person;
D. Registration fee:400 RMB/person;
E. Living expenses average around 1500 RMB/month/person;
F. Other prospective expenses around 1500 RMB such as Health Check/Authentication fee or Residence Permit Application Fee will be charged by the relevant institutions in accordance with their fee specification.
1. 学费：
本科生：15000元/人/年
硕士研究生：15000元/人/年
博士研究生：20000元/人/年
2. 住宿费：双人间，4800元/年/床位(水费、电费、网费和公共物品损害赔偿费等日常生活中产生的个人费用除外)注意：在每个月1日到15日期间报到，应全额支付当月的住宿费；在16日到月底期间报到，将支付当月半个月的住宿费。住宿费按年支付；
3. 保险费：800元/600元/年/人
4. 注册费：400元/人
5. 生活费：约1500元/月/人
6. 其他费用：大约1500元，如体检费认证费、居留证申请费等，这些费用将由相关机构按照其收费标准收取。
